About Us

Jamie Wallace - Owner/Certified CANARM ProfessionalH2O_0001557.jpg

Jamie has been working with water within the landscape industry for over 28 years. His intense passion for Rainwater Harvesting began years ago, while designing and installing award-winning landscapes on Vancouver Island. It became apparent that traditional landscapes were consuming large amounts of potable water, even with advances in irrigation products and technology. Some other solution must exist. Rainwater harvesting is one way we can all help reduce our potable water consumption.

Jamie is involved on CANARM's Board of Directors, where his efforts will promote and maintain the high standards which CANARM has established through its certification process. CANARM's Board of Directors is busy promoting the use of Rainwater harvesting to local authorities and professionals throughout BC and Canada. It is also working with local governments to introduce safe and consistent guidelines in its use in both indoor and outdoor applications.

Jamie's award-winning landscape work still continues with his involvement in Jaan Designs and Ornamental Permaculture. His partner, Angela Giuriato, owns the company and 18 years into their relationship they still love working together.
Some of his community work includes his involvement with the Friends of Urban Agriculture in Lantzville Society (FUAL) where he is coordinator and spokesperson. Jamie is also a Manure Maven (http://www.manuremaiden.com/the-network/) and actively composts on his property in Lantzville.
